The Watch This is a replica of the watch that was sent to the President of the United States. The inner dials are stopped at the moments the world was changed forever - one each for the assaults on our country. The date is stopped at September 11. The Motto of the United States, "In God We Trust," and the firm resolution, "United We Stand," are engraved on the bezel. But, in addition to all of that, there is a fully functioning movement in the heart of the watch. The main dial continues to keep time because -- like this great nation and its people -- time continues. The watch is colored in black, red, and white. Black for the sorrow and mourning we faced together, red in memory of the innocent lives that were lost, and white for the purity our country was built upon. |

The Project The 911 United Project was begun out of a desire to contribute something unique to the restoration effort. When events seek to disrupt our lives, we rally and respond with the best qualities that lie within us. But, in equal measure, a prevalent human flaw also inevitably appears. In the aftermath of tragedy, we promise to "never forget" …but most of us eventually do. We vow to "stand together" …but all too soon, we drift apart. We "call upon God" …but only for a season. And, as we return to our daily routines, we tend to forget the lessons of our ordeals, and disregard the need for personal change. How desperately we need to maintain our perspectives and renew our resolve! This is what prompted us to develop a unique product that would capture the events of September 11th, symbolize the unity of the American people, and commemorate the tragedy that changed our lives for generations to come. |
